Visas

The information below is for business travellers holding a UK or Japanese passport.
For some other nationalities, requirements may vary. Please check with your JTB travel consultant.
Prices are those levied by the consular authorities, and do not include handling fees, delivery etc.

CHINA

Requirements for business visa: - Passport must be valid for 6 months from the date of visa issue (9 months in the case of multiple entry visa)
- Official invitation from Chinese Foreign Ministry
or
invitation letter from business partner in China on headed paper, signed and stamped, stating full name, passport number and date of birth.
Cost:single entry: £30, multiple entry (6 months) £60
Validity:3 months from date of issue
Time required: 4 working days. Applications should be made 1 month in advance.
Express service (3 working days) is available at extra cost.

KAZAKHSTAN

Requirements for Business visa: - Passport must be valid for 6 months longer than the validity of the requested visa
- For multi-entry visa, a request letter to issue visa is required, addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. Indicate the prupose of trip, contact in Kazakhstan, dates of trip and places to be visited.
Cost: single entry £ 33, multiple entry 1 year £ 133
Validity: 3 months from date of issue
Time required:2 working days. Application should be made at least 7 days before date of departure.

RUSSIA

Requirements for Business visa: - Passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months after expiry of visa and have at least 2 blank pages facing each other
- 1 recent passport-sized photo
- Invitation issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry or its regional representatives or by an appropriate Russian Federation Migration Service branch. The invitation must contain: official seal and legal address of the host institution, document registration number and date of registration, signature and name of the official authorized to invite foreigners to Russia, purpose of visit, dates of stay, names of persons invited.
Please allow 18 working days to obtain this official invitation. The original must be provided.
Note: a special tourist visa is available, for which JTB can arrange an invitiation letter: on the online application form, choose purpose "Tourist" and type of visa "Special tourist".
- Introductory letter from your company giving full details of the traveller, destinations, terms and purpose of the visit
- Applicants of certain non-UK nationalities (eg. Germany, Japan, Spain) must provide proof of UK residency, such as: a valid applicant’s UK visa in passport/ last three months bank statements/ utility bills with applicant’s name and address/ letter from employer specifying the start date of their employment. Rent or mortgage agreements and mobile bills are not acceptable. For the full list of nationalities concerned, please see the general visa requirements on the Russian visa website.
- Application form WHICH MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE AT http://ru.vfsglobal.co.uk
ALL items in the online application form MUST be completed. NONE should be left blank. Type of passport should be specified as "tourist".
Cost: single entry business visa £ 125.30*, multiple entry £ 225.30*
Validity: single entry 90 days, multiple entry 6 or 12 months
Time required: * 5 - 6 working days. 2 - 3 working days service £ 232.20 for single-entry business visa, £ 332.20 for multi-entry.
But please note the additional time (approx 18 working days) required to obtain the invitation letter.

SAUDI ARABIA

Requirements for Business visa: - Passport must be valid for 6 months at time of entry, have 2 blank pages facing each other, and contain no Israeli stamp.
- 2 recent passport-sized photos
- Letter of invitation from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an introduction letter from the British Company addressed to the Embassy.
- the application must be completed in black ink.
Cost: single entry £ 49, multiple entry £ 106 (although this may fluctuate according to exchange rates)
Time required: 5 - 7 working days
